Backing up ex16 DAG with dpm 2016

Good day

I require some clarity

I have the following setup:

2x exchange 2016 servers configured in a DAG with its data drives formatted as REFS.  Each server have half the active and half the passive copies of all dbs. I want to protect the dag with DPM2016.

1. According to my knowledge I can only protect one DAG node per DPM server,  is this correct?

2. Should I only backup active copies? Meaning I will need two DPM servers?

3. Or should I just backup one node with its active and passive copies?

4. Will backing up the active copy on one server truncate the log files of the passive copy on the other server?

5. Any best Practices?

Apologies for squeezing in so many questions but I find this a little confusing

Thank you

regards
