Error ID 30216 Full exchange log drive, inconsistency, circular logging.

I'm hoping someone can see this quickly.

Exchange 2010 server's log file location filled up.  Exchange stopped working.  Circular logging is off because DPM 2010 is doing incremental back ups.  No problems on short or long term back ups so I don't know what happened there.  Regardless, I need to make sure it's back up.

In a panic I just deleted log files (instead of moving them, I know I know.)  So now DPM is giving me an inconsistent state, (ID 30216) because the log chain was broken.

I just need to make sure that these are the steps to get back to consistent and a good recovery point and that the log directory truncates when it's supposed to.  I'm confused about the steps.

  1. Turn circular logging on.
  2. Dismount store
  3. Mount store
  4. Turn circular logging off.
  5. Dismount store
  6. Mount store
  7. Run consistency check in DPM.

At some point, I've got to see that the log files are being truncated.  Also, should there be a 3a) remove all log files?  I'm not sure how an inconsistency is going to be fixed without having all the log files back.

I should mention the drive is filling up as we speak.  I'll likely have to do something soon.

Thanks.
