Express full backup— An express full backup is a type of synchronization that transfers and synchronizes only a snapshot of all blocks that have changed, either since the initial replication or since the last express full backup. It’s faster than running
a full backup. Recovering the data from an Express Full Backup produces the same result as recovering data using a full backup. The express full backup uses DPM filter technology to identify the changed blocked instead of requiring DPM to read all the data
or use checksums. This significantly reduces performance load. Express full backups are considered copy-only full backups and do not result in log truncations for applications that support incremental backups."

The full shadow copy is performed as part of initial replica creation and during each express full backup. The full shadow copy will include all Exchange log files and all Exchange database files and includes a call for log truncation to occur uponsuccessful backup completion.

From the above technet , we can see the first one says "Express full backups are considered copy-only full backups and do not result in log truncations for application......"
,
but the second one says express full backup is
Full Shadow Copy and would call for log truncation ,so it sounds inconsistent, which one is correct?
My questions are:
1,Express full backups is Copy only full backups or Full Shadow Copy ?did they refer to the some thing?
2,If the Express full backups can/request the log truncation?
Thank you in advanced.
